Several members of the Prince Albert Police Service have been recognized with Valor Medals for their work on two separate files in 2017.

Prince Albert Constables Dwight LeBlue, Gerald Minielly and Trevor Mitchell received Valor Awards for their efforts to evacuate the occupants of a burning apartment building. The fire happened October 3, 2017 in the 1400 Block of 28 Street East.

Another six local officers have been recognized with Excellence in Performance Awards for their work following a child abduction last July. The officers include Sgt. Ryan Levesque, and Constables Tyson Morash, Kim Issel, Darren Androsoff, Dan Logan and Darcy Burns for their work on the file. Curtis Schnitzler and Sharla Whitford, civilian members of the police force, were also recognized with performance awards.

In a news release, Prince Albert Police Deputy Chief Jeff Rowen said he was very proud of the officers and their work on both files.
