2017 Nation Builders & Community Recognition Awards Luncheon

Each year the Ukrainian Canadian Congress of Saskatchewan honours selected individuals for their meritorious contributions to the development of Saskatchewan and Canada through the UCC Saskatchewan Nation Builders & Community Recognition Awards. 

Nation Builder Awards are bestowed upon persons who have served as exemplary role models as well as made meritorious contributions, which have had a significant impact and left a legacy to the Ukrainian Canadian community, Saskatchewan and Canada. The 2017 Nation Builder honourees are: Anthony Bidulka (Prud’homme-Casa Rio, SK), Savelia Curniski (Prince Albert-Saskatoon), Dr. Bohdan Kordan (Toronto-Saskatoon), Nadia Prokopchuk (Prud’homme-Saskatoon).

Community Recognition Awards are bestowed upon persons who have made meritorious contributions to the Ukrainian community, Saskatchewan and Canada in the following areas: Volunteerism – Marjorie Bodnarchuk (Strasbourg-Prince Albert); Creativity & Innovation and Cultural Preservation & Development – Ryan Boyko (Saskatoon-Mississauga); Cultural Preservation & Development – Vera Feduschak (Regina); Natalia Maruschak (Alvena); Youth Achievement – Connor Moen (Saskatoon-Ottawa); Vladyslav Osatiuk (Haivoron, Ukraine-Imperial, SK).

The Nation Builders & Community Recognition Awards event will take place on Sunday 05 November 2017 at Prince Albert’s Art Hauser Centre. The Awards Luncheon commences at 1:00 PM and concludes by 4:00 PM.
