Oct 4, 2017 | 12:08 PM

The Prince Albert Raiders are sending a handful of prospects to the 2017 WHL Cup, Oct. 18-22 this year in Calgary.

Kaiden Guhle and Ozzy Wiesblatt will represent Alberta, Jakob Brook and Evan Herman will be on Team Manitoba and Davin Griffin will be the lone player wearing Saskatchewan green.

The Raiders drafted Guhle first overall in the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft. He has a goal and three assists in his first five games in the CSSHL with the OHA Edmonton Midget Prep team.

Wiesblatt, a second round pick of the Raiders, is playing with the Calgary Buffaloes in the Alberta Midget AAA Hockey League this year.

The Raiders picked Brook in the third round, 40th overall in the past draft. The younger brother of Moose Jaw Warriors defenceman Josh Brook has three assists in as many games with the Rink Hockey Academy in the CSSHL. His Rink teammate Herman, picked 64th overall by the Raiders, will join him on the Manitoba club.

Griffin was the 100th pick by the Raiders. He has a goal and two assists in three games with the Saskatoon Contacts in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League.

Cohner Saleski (Saskatoon, 17th overall) and Braydon Clark (Langley, B.C., 47th overall) both made the shortlists for their provincial teams, but suffered injuries this season.

The WHL Cup is formally known as the Western Canada U16 Challenge Cup.
