Accused in fatal crash remanded until Monday
Brandon Stucka has been remanded to custody in Saskatoon until his next appearance on Monday, October 2 in North Battleford. Stucka is facing several charges related to a fatal crash Sept. 22 near Lloydminster that killed three women.
He appeared via closed circuit video in North Battleford provincial court Thursday, but since his lawyer was not present in the courtroom, Stucka’s case was remanded to Oct. 2 at 11 a.m.
Stucka, 26, from Lloydminster, has been charged with criminal negligence causing death, criminal negligence causing bodily harm, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm, failure to stop at the scene of an accident, flight from police, possession of property obtained by crime, and breach of undertaking.
A quiet, nervous-looking Stucka appeared from Saskatoon remand on Sept. 28. An agent spoke on Stucka’s lawyer’s behalf, with only a few people in the courtroom at the time.
