Former labourer found guilty of defrauding workers’ comp

Larry Hayter was sentenced two and a half years in jail Thursday at the Court of Queen’s Bench in Melfort for defrauding the Saskatchewan Workers’ Compensation Board.
The former claimant was charged with defrauding $137,377.76 from the board.
The claimant was found guilty of filing two false claims, as well as receiving benefits while returning to work.
