Scotiabank Power Breakfast to benefit local athletes

It will be a sea of green later this month in Prince Albert. On April 26, the Prince Albert Raiders will be hosting the 12 annual Scotiabank Training for Life Power Breakfast.

Mike Svenson, manager of corporate sales and sponsorships with the Prince Albert Raiders, said members of the Saskatchewan Roughriders will be guest speakers at the event.

“It’s always been awesome to have members of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, their always a popular hit with the patrons at the breakfast,” Svenson said.

This year the Roughriders in attendance will be Dan Clark and Jorgen Hus.

All proceeds from the breakfast will be donated to the Special Olympics Lakeland District and the Raider Education Fund. Over the last 11 years, the breakfast has brought in more than $50,000 for each of the programs.
