Rush look to get back on track in week two
After dropping their season opener, the Saskatchewan Rush is looking to make it six wins in a row against Canadian rival Toronto Rock when the two teams meet on Saturday, Jan. 14.
The Rush have not lost to the Rock since Feb. 27, 2015, including a two-game sweep in the 2015 Champions Cup Final where the Rush captured its first title.
Head coach and general manager Derek Keenan said, regardless, Toronto is a hard arena to play in traditionally.
“For a lot of guys from the southern Ontario area, it’s more like a home game to them. The one thing we have to be careful… is to make sure they aren’t trying to do too much and play outside of their normal roles in front of family and friends. But we address that and we usually play pretty good [in Toronto],” he said.
