The SaskParty finished on top in a number of ridings neighbouring Prince Albert.

In Melfort, the SaskParty’s Kevin Phillips comfortably took the win with 5534 votes, while the NDP’s Linsey Thornton came in second with 1392 votes. The Liberal’s Bruce Ber followed with 149 votes and the Green Party’s Tanner Wallace received 100 votes.

In Rosthern-Shellbrook, SaskParty MLA Scott Moe was re-elected with 4689 votes, while New Democrat Rose Freeman came in second with 1278 votes. The Liberal candidate Orrin Murray Greyeyes came third with 462 votes and the Green Party candidate Jade Duckett received 119 votes.

“It feels very, very humbling to be elected in the community that I was raised in, that I grew up in… For the constituency to put that confidence in our plans for the party and for the constituents, there is no other word but it’s a true honour and very, very humbling,” Moe said of his considerable win.

In the more northern riding of Cumberland, the NDP won the vote comfortably.

Incumbent Doyle Vermette got 3337 votes, followed by the SaskParty’s Thomas Sierzycki who received 1577 votes. The Liberal’s George Morin got 347 votes and the Green Party’s Mick Taylor-Lessard received 74 votes.

In the Saskatchewan Rivers riding, the SaskParty’s incumbent Nadine Wilson received 4497 votes, while the NDP’s Lyle Whitefish received 1983 votes. The Liberal’s Brenda McKnight followed with 240 votes.

Wilson, who will be serving her third term, commended voters and her opponents for a clean and well run race.

“The people have been very generous to me, to allow me to continue to work in this riding, under the leadership of Brad Wall. I’m very pleased about the result of course but I must say, Lyle Whitefish has been very gentlemanly in the race,” she said.

She said her focus will be on infrastructure and the economy.

The Batoche constituency saw a comfortable win by the SaskParty’s incumbent Delbert Kirsch with 4451 votes. The NDP’s Clay DeBray received 2080 votes, while the Liberal’s Graham Tweten and the Green Party’s B. Garneau I got 213 and 101 respectively.
