It took over a month, but Nick McBride finally got his wish: a trade.
The Prince Albert Raiders announced on Wednesday that they dealt McBride to the Prince George Cougars for a second round pick in the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft. McBride left the Raiders on Oct. 1, wanting a more prominent role. The deal moves him into his home province, as he hails from Maple Ridge, B.C.
McBride had a record of 25-25-1-2, a 3.22 goals-against average, .900 save percentage and two shutouts through two seasons with the Raiders.
