Man accused of exchanging fire with RCMP on the mend

A Red Earth First Nation man has been treated and released from hospital after allegedly exchanging fire with RCMP.
Mario Whitehead, 24, will appear in court in Carrot River on Thursday, Nov. 5, in connection to an incident Oct. 17 on the Red Earth First Nation.
RCMP had been dispatched to the reserve in response to a complaint of an assault.
Whitehead was found outside a home holding a long barreled gun, and he allegedly proceeded to shoot at the arriving RCMP vehicle.
