‘Wanska’ in Cree means wake up. Wanska Talent is about waking up people. When we say this we speak to the consciousness of who we innately are. It’s giving everyone permission to be who they are supposed to be and encouraging that we do it together.

Open up, Stand up, and Show yourself.

We believe in empowering the people. Giving those a chance to develop their artistry. Our mission is to empower artists by creating a fun interactive environment where talent can feel free to express and grow into the artists they want to be with real life experience and ongoing one on one mentoring. Our vision is that our talent will gain a sense of belonging and have the support to be their best selves.

Our team consists of three main organizers.

Danny Mirasty, Entertainment and Special Events Coordinator, Danny is from the Lac La Ronge Band and is a drummer for the successful “Black Eyed Creez”, He is the founder of the grassroots ‘RISE UP” Violence Against Woman march and believes strongly in bringing Awareness to Missing and Murdered Aboriginal Woman.
