He may have just broken into the major junior ranks, but Prince Albert Raiders 16-year-old goaltender Ian Scott will already get the opportunity to flourish on a global stage.

Hockey Canada announced on Friday that Scott will play at the 2015 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, Oct. 30- Nov. 7 in Dawson Creek and Fort St. John, B.C.

Team Canada will send three squads to the tournament, Canada Black, Canada White and Canada Red. Although the remaining 66 players on the full event roster have not yet been split, Scott will be assigned to one of the three squads in the upcoming weeks.

The Canadian teams will play against the Czech Republic, Finland, Russia, Sweden and the United States.
