Two charged in child neglect incident
Prince Albert Police have arrested two residents after investigating a child-neglect incident over the weekend.
A 41-year-old female and a 37-year-old male were arrested and are both facing numerous charges including Criminal Negligence Causing Bodily Harm, Child Abandonment and Failing to Provide the Necessities of Life to a Child under the Age of 16 Years and Assault.
On Sept. 26, Police were called to a residence in the 1100 block of 14th St. W. for a complaint of a break and enter. The original complaint was unfounded, but, responding officers had concerns over the well-being of the children once inside of the home.
Consequently, a joint investigation was conducted involved members of the Prince Albert Police Child Protection Unit, Patrol Service members, Mobile Crisis, Indian Child and Family Services (ICFS) and Social Services.
