Raiders finish off preseason with two wins, complete trade with PG
The Prince Albert Raiders started the preseason losing their first four games of the 2015 Western Hockey League preseason.
But they’ll head into the regular season with a pair of wins under their belts after sweeping the Regina Pats this week, 5-2 on Wednesday on the road and 4-1 Friday at the Art Hauser Centre.
“You always skate a little easier after a win then after a loss. Even though it’s exhibition, you want to win some games,” said Raiders head coach Marc Habscheid. “You’re still evaluating but as you get on in the exhibition schedule, you want to start getting that winning feeling because winning breeds confidence and confidence is when you play your best.”
Raiders overager Jesse Lees, who was named one of the Raiders’ assistant captains last January, echoed that statement.
