Youth-In-Action Volunteer Program

The Victoria Hospital, Herb Bassett Home and Pineview Terrace welcome teens in Grades 8 to 12 to join the Youth-In-Action Volunteer Program. 

Application forms can be picked up at area schools or the Victoria Hospital, or found on the Health Region website at www.princealbertparklandhealth.sk.ca .

All applications must be returned by Tuesday September 8th, 2015.

A commitment from the volunteers of two hours a week is required.  Volunteers rotate through the medical, surgical, obstetric, ICU, and extended care units.  They visit patients and residents, enhancing their quality of life and assist staff in a variety of tasks. Uniforms are supplied.

In return for their service, volunteers receive guidance and training and an opportunity to gain experience in preparation for a career in the health care sector.
