Bears’ Chickowski hoping to carry the scoring load
When the Prince Albert A&W Bears took to the ice for their fall camp Saturday at the Kinsmen Arena, they were without four of the Bears top five point scorers.
Madison Casavant, Tylor Lindsay, Jessica Lutz and Marlee Clarkson have all graduated from the Saskatchewan Female Midget AAA Hockey League (SFMAAAHL) and were big reasons for last year’s run to the finals.
But with departure comes opportunity, one that Prince Albert’s Kaytlyn Chickowski will be counted on to seize.
Her track record speaks for itself. Of the 10 skaters that are eligible to return to this year’s Bears roster, nobody scored more goals than Chickowski’s 10 last year as a 16-year-old.
