Aug 17, 2015 | 6:34 AM

A 31-year-old woman is scheduled to appear in court Monday morning, following an altercation with a police officer Saturday afternoon.

Police had been called to the 1400 block of Central Avenue, following a complaint of an intoxicated person.

When attempts were made to arrest the woman, the woman became aggressive and assaulted the police officer.

The woman has since been charged with assaulting a police officer and breach of probation.

Overall, the weekend was fairly steady for the Prince Albert Police Service, with over 200 calls for service.

The majority of the calls were disturbances and intoxicated people.

Another weekend highlight for police was a “weapons call” that came in Saturday afternoon, around 4:14 p.m.

Two women, ages 22 and 26, were assaulted in the 200 block of 27th St. E.

Both woman were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A 25-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman were arrested in connection with the incident.

They are both scheduled to appear at Prince Albert Provincial Court Monday morning.
