One dead in two vehicle crash south of Melfort

A Regina woman has died in a crash on Highway 6 over the weekend.

On Sunday August 16, just after 4 p.m., Melfort RCMP were called to the scene of a two vehicle collision near the community of Silver Park, SK., South of Melfort.

The 72-yr-old woman was a passenger in a southbound car. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The 77-yr-old male driver of the car, also from Regina, was taken to hospital with injuries. 

In the second vehicle, a northbound truck, two men from Regina were taken to hospital in Melfort. The hospital trip was mainly precautionary and the men, both in their 20s, were soon released.
