Home construction slow in 2015

The city’s latest monthly building permits report reveals fewer people are building or making changes to their homes in Prince Albert this year, but there are more businesses setting up shop.

From January to July, there were 61 residential single family permits issued. This compares to 90 for the same time last year.

The permits issued for alterations and additions (garages) was nearly cut in half from 12 to seven.

Multi-family home permits saw a slight increase year over year, from five to seven.
