Man killed while changing tire near Maidstone

A man was killed while changing a tire near Maidstone on Friday.

Early in the evening, RCMP said a semi truck struck the man on Highway 16, west of Paynton.

The 22-year-old man from Lloydminster was pronounced dead on the scene.

Witnesses told the RCMP that the man was working at the time, changing the tire for an abandoned motorist. His name will not be released.

RCMP continue to investigate the accident.
