PA Police report for July 13th, 2015

A busy weekend reported by Prince Albert Police Service, with 355 calls for service. 

There were 89 people arrested with 51 people being arrested for intoxicated in public. 

The calls patrol members responded to the most were intoxicated persons (68) disturbances (53) and theft under (20). 

There were 14 people arrested on outstanding warrants, 17 people were arrested and are facing new charges.  There was one person charged with impaired driving.

 

Report highlights:

Two men are in custody after police attempted to stop a vehicle early Monday morning.

Shortly after 5:30am, police members patrolling in the 500 block of 5th Street East observed a vehicle being driven erratically.  

The officer activated emergency equipment and attempted to initiate a vehicle stop but was unable to catch up to the car.  

The vehicle description was broadcast and another patrol member located the vehicle abandoned in the 200 block of 15th Street East. 

The occupants were observed fleeing on foot in the area and were taken into custody a short distance from scene.  The vehicle was later found to be stolen.

Two Prince Albert men, ages 35 and 41, now face numerous charges including Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Dangerous Weapon and Breach of Undertaking.

Both are scheduled to appear in court Tuesday morning at Prince Albert Provincial Court.
