Timothy Program Expanding World-Wide Including Prince Albert

Jul 10, 2015 | 10:48 AM

The Board of Directors and staff of the Timothy Program International – Canadian Office Inc. is pleased to announce the official opening of its sixth Bible College campus in Peru.  This new campus will be located in the Peruvian Highlands in the beautiful City of Carhuaz.  Directors will be Pastors Rolando and Dina Lopez Parades with the Iglesia de Dios del Peru.  The new program is scheduled to open by July 1st, 2015.  Other Peruvian campuses are located in Lima-Comas, Lima-Villa El Salvador, Lima-Surco, Manchay, and Barranca.

Our next African campus will be opening within the next few months in the city of Aweil in the Republic of South Sudan.  Campus director is Pastor Luka Garang who is a priest with the Episcopal Church of South Sudan.  That will bring the total of campuses in Africa to 9 with a presence in Ghana, South Sudan, Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania.

TPI Canada while overseeing the operations in Peru, South America, and the whole Continent of Africa, it is now actively planning the establishment of a First Nations campus in Prince Albert.  It is hoped that the first Canadian campus will open in November of 2015.  TPI International in Charlotte, NC, oversees operations in the USA, India, and Mexico while TPI India oversees operations in India and The Philippines.

The intent of the Timothy Program International curriculum is to teach Bible students how to discover important, life-changing truth from God’s Word to become a “doer” of God’s Word.  Secondly, the intent of the TPI study requirements is to teach Bible students how to obtain useful information from the Bible and effectively teach it to others.  TPI wants its graduates trained in accurate Bible study and interpretation.  The TPI curriculum gives tools for students to be “equipped” to study, do, and teach God’s Word.  TPI prepares students to pursue a lifetime of study – not stop learning upon graduation.  It is a curriculum for LIFE.

The Timothy Program International curriculum integrates history, culture, geography and grammar in the study of God’s Word.  This is done to “contextualize” concepts to help prevent students from interpreting the Bible within their own history, culture, geography, and grammar.  This allows the proper hermeneutic (science of biblical interpretation) to enable a student to “exegete” (let the Bible read its meaning “out”) Bible passages rather than “isogete” (read one’s own meaning “into” the Bible) Bible passages.

TPI has just revamped all of its public relations materials (brochures, web sites, video clips) and they can be found at its web site at www.timothyprogram.com.  We recommend any media to review the video clip on the opening page of the Canadian web site at http://worldoutreach.ca/tpiindex.htm    Also attached is a information sheet called “Why the Christian World needs the Timothy Program Bible Curriculum ?”.
