Volunteers Needed at PAPHR

The Volunteer Services Department of the Prince Albert Parkland Health Region is in need of caring, compassionate and committed volunteers to fulfill the following service positions:

Peer Navigator – Victoria Hospital

Volunteers are needed to assist and support newly-diagnosed cancer patients through the network of health and support systems in place. Excellent interpersonal skills and a caring heart are necessary for this position.

Shifts:           Flexible, as needed and agreed upon with the patient.

Lab Services Center – Prince Albert

Volunteer greeters assist patients and family members arriving for tests at the center in the South Hill Mall. These volunteers put patients at ease and ensure they are in the proper location to be called for their tests.

Shifts:             7:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

                         Monday – Friday: Once per week.

Entertainment – All Long Term Care Facilities

Volunteers escort residents to a specific area for entertainment, parties, sing-a-longs, etc. They assist with snacks, lunches, etc.

Shifts:     2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.  Fridays.
