The Victoria Hospital Foundation honours Dr. Orville Hjertaas by conducting this annual charity golf tournament in his name. Dr. Orville Hjertaas was a key player in the development of Saskatchewan’s medicare system. His pioneering efforts have been used as a model in may areas around the world including the United States.

The Victoria Hospital Foundation has chosen to honour this prominent Prince Albert citizen by conducting an annual charity golf tournament in his name. The proceeds from the tournament are used to purchase urgently needed medical equipment at the Victoria Hospital
