SUNDAY – Pine Needle Mountain Bike and Music Festival
The Festival will be held on Sunday, June 7th from 11am until 5pm at Little Red River Park in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. The Festival is a fun filled day of mountain biking, live music, great food and tons of kid’s activities. The Festival is for everyone to enjoy and attend!
The Festival has a new name for 2015!
The new name is “The Pine Needle Mountain Bike & Music Festival”. The Festival is not only about mountain biking….over the past 4 years the Festival has had great local and national talent through the likes of: Jeffery Stracker, All Mighty Voice, SheBam, Cheap Luxury and many more! It is fitting that we include the word “Music” in the name. We are working on putting together another stellar line up of talented musicians for the 2015 Festival, stay tuned for the line up!
Each year, the Festival raises money through pledges from the participants in the 6 hour mountain bike relay! Over the past 4 year the Festival has raised $23,000 and has donated those funds to The Rotary Trail, KidSport, AED’s in community schools and Little Red River Park. This year the Festival will again be raising money for Little Red River Park. This Park is a huge asset for the City of Prince Albert, and can be enjoyed by everyone. We would like to continue to help build and contribute to major projects within the Park. Last year the Festival donated $6000 towards a retaining wall rebuild project on the River Trail. This retaining wall is a key piece of infrastructure on the River Trail and with our $6000 donation the piece of trail was able to be widen to better accommodate future development on this highly used trail.
