City council rejects farmer’s market proposition
The Prince Albert farmer’s market is currently looking for a new winter location but City Hall is no longer an option.
They had been hoping to use the foyer of City Hall as their new venue. At Monday night’s city council meeting council decided that wasn’t going to happen.
Bob Gill, executive director of the Prince Albert Downtown Business Improvement District (PADBID) and president of the farmer’s market, was surprised to hear the news.
“Right now we’re definitely disappointed,” he said. “We were really looking forward to having our location in a permanent residence, around the Memorial Square area, so we thought it would be a perfect fit.”
