Trial set for officer assault case

Apr 10, 2015 | 6:44 AM

A 19-year member of Prince Albert Police Service (PAPS) is pleading not guilty to assault with pepper spray in the city’s detention area.

In December, Susan Snell was charged for a July 2014 incident with a prisoner while she was on duty as a patrol officer. She was put on administrative leave with pay at that time.

The charge came after PAPS reported the alleged conduct to an independent provincial body to investigate.

Snell’s years with the service included an assignment to the Historical Case Unit in October of 2008.
