Weather behind pair of morning accidents

Mar 24, 2015 | 8:08 AM

Tuesday morning’s snowy conditions are being blamed for two early morning accidents that closed part of Second Avenue West.

A Prince Albert Police Service officer at the scene said police received a call at 6:30 a.m. about two semis involved in the first incident at Second Avenue West at 17th Street West.

The officer said one of the semis was an empty fuel tanker. One truck was unable to gain traction driving southbound, up the hill, which led to the accident.

Another vehicle driving northbound lost control close to 20 minutes later and hit another, losing its front fender in the collision.
