Police and paramedics report another busy weekend

Police in Prince Albert report they responded to to 178 calls for service over the weekend.

A lot of the calls revolved around break and enters.

Two break-ins, three arrests

On Friday, police were called to a residence in the 1100 block of Branion Drive.

An investigation found that the suspect had broken in through the window and stole several items.

A 13-year-old boy was later found and arrested in connection to the robbery, and he is now facing charges of break and enter and breach of a court condition.

The stolen items were returned to the owners.

On Saturday, at around 10 p.m., police were called to a residence in the 700 block of Fifth Street East.

They quickly arrested a 19-year-old man and a 14-year-old boy and they face charges of break and enter at the residence. 

Police report the 14-year-old boy had also been reported missing and is already facing related charges from a separate incident.

Stolen vehicle under investigation

Around the same time on Saturday, police were called to a business on Sixth Avenue East where a vehicle had been stolen.

In the same parking lot, two other vehicles had been broken into as well.

The stolen vehicle is still missing and police are investigating.

Assaults keep Parkland Ambulance Paramedics busy

Paramedics responded to 64 incidents, ranging from car accidents to assaults. 

There was one accident that may have been winter-related that occured on Sunday morning.

Paramedics were called out to Highway 55, just north of Shellbrook, for a single-vehicle accident.

There were seven people injured in the accident, with three children, all 12-years-old and four adults between the ages of 20-22.

All were taken to hospital for further care.
