Bands play Tonight for ALS

Sep 20, 2014 | 8:56 AM

Local band, Cars Collide, has been searching for opportunities to showcase their original music. The current popularity of the Ice bucket challenge has inspired the band to spearhead a live music event to showcase their talent, among others in the local area.

On September 20th, six Saskatchewan bands will be playing for six hours (7pm-1am) at the Prince Albert Brewing Company Inc. (PABCO), located at 1425 6 Ave E. The event will cost $5/person admission, and all door admission proceeds will be donated to the ALS Association of Canada. Tickets are available at the door and seating is limited.

The bands on the bill includes: Bastard Poetry, Cedar Sky, Mostly Wanted and SheWolf all from Saskatoon, The Reckless Famous from North Battleford and Cars Collide from Prince Albert.

All bands will be playing without receiving payment for their services as their donation to the cause. The Prince Albert Music Center has also donated the sound system for the evening.

Additional local donations are being sought after in support of the event. More information about this will be upcoming.

The goal is to raise approximately $1000 in support of ALS.
