The Energy Doctor lends a helping paw to PA SPCA

Jun 21, 2014 | 7:41 AM

While the Prince Albert SPCA has successful opened its new building, there are still quite a few costs associated with running the upgraded facility.

The Energy Doctor has stepped up to ease some of these operating costs.

Brent Mills and Bruce Morley from the Prince Albert business donated $5,000 to the SPCA on May 21.

Executive director of the Prince Albert SPCA, Debbie Lehner, said all donations are always appreciated.

“We are very appreciative of the Energy Doctor for their support to the new building,” said Lehner. “It's always very humbling when an individual or business comes forward and wants to be a part of the new facility for our community.”

Last weekend tons of dogs and cats were moved, convoy-style, across the river to the new facility.

Lehner said she and the rest of the staff at the SPCA were very appreciative of all the help from volunteers to move the animals into their new temporary home.

If you’d like to visit the new SPCA you can find them across the Diefenbaker Bridge, on North Industrial Drive next to the Paw Print Inn.
