Man faces charges connected to alleged Rosthern double stabbing

A One Arrow First Nation man faces assault-related charges after two men were allegedly stabbed in Rosthern on June 8.

Early on Saturday, Rosthern RCMP officers responded to a number of calls about a fight taking place at First Avenue, involving several people. It was also reported to police that two people had been stabbed.

At the scene, RCMP officers found two men with stab wounds at different locations. They were taken to the hospital for treatment and other men in the area that were believed to be involved were arrested.

Police said in a statement that they continue to investigate, but one man has been charged in connection to the incident.

Keith Michael John, 31, of One Arrow First Nation, faces two counts of aggravated assault and one count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
