New hospital in Humboldt
Apr 1, 2011 | 7:29 AM
Humboldt residents are going to have a new hospital close to home.
In a time when hospitals are closing, this community about 100 kilometers east of Saskatoon, will see one open.
The Humboldt District Health Complex will have 38 beds, two more than its predecessor, including 10 more beds for surgery patients.
The new facility replaces the old hospital, built in 1955.
The $40-million complex opens this morning, following almost three years of work.
