Players and Patients win BIG with Weekly Radio Bingo

More than $161,000 in prizes won

Patients at the Victoria Regional Hospital and Bingo Players have been the big winners in the Victoria Hospital Foundation’s Weekly Radio Bingo. Since launching the weekly event in February of 2009 more than $161,000 in prize money has been paid out. Proceeds have been used to help purchase medical equipment for the Victoria Regional Hospital in Prince Albert.

Bingo prizes have included regular weekly game winnings plus thirteen $5,000 Loonie Pots. The Victoria Regional Hospital has receive funds from the Foundation to help purchase Endoscopy Equipment, Wheel Chairs and most recently medical equipment to upgrade and modernize the Operating Rooms.

In January the Foundation announced the Loonie Pot prize would increase to $10,000. Weekly Radio Bingo Game Packs are sold through a network of retailers in Prince Albert and across central and northern Saskatchewan. Each Game Pack sells for just $5.00. One dollar from each Game Pack sold goes into the Loonie Pot. Once the Loonie Pot reaches $10,000 it goes “into play”.
