A Prince Albert man is facing charges after allegedly threatening a woman with a knife.

The alleged incident occurred on Saturday at about 1:50 a.m. The Prince Albert Police Service responded to a call at the 900 block of Second Street East, where a woman claimed an intoxicated man had threatened her in her home.

The police tracked down 34-year-old Matthew Rabbitskin with the help of the Canine Unit. He had allegedly cut off his electronic monitoring bracelet after being previously released from custody on other unrelated charges.

Rabbitskin will appear in provincial court on Wednesday to enter a plea.
