A boy from northern Saskatchewan is recovering in a Saskatoon hospital after being attacked Saturday by a sled dog.
Southend RCMP said the four year old's caregiver told the child to stay in the truck while he finished helping feed a team of about 14 sled dogs.
At some point the boy got out of the truck and was attacked by one of the dogs. The child was flown south to Saskatoon with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
Mounties say the dog that bit him was later hit by a car and died.
