Vision:  A vibrant, pro-active, credible Council of Women reflecting the diversity of society, influencing political   decision-making and public attitudes for the well-being of society, through education and advocacy.

March 8th, 2011, marks the forty-sixth year the United Nations has been celebrating International Women’s Day.  Each year The Prince Albert Council of Women honours an outstanding woman in our community by inducting them into The Hall of Fame.  This year’s Inductee is Sheryl Kimbley.

While this day is specifically set aside to honour the contribution of women to the strengthening of international peace and security, it is also an occasion to review how far women have come in their struggle for equality, peace and development.  The theme for 2011 is:

Strong Women – Strong World

This year, Prince Albert and area women will be joining together to celebrate this day  by inducting Sheryl Kimbley, an accomplished First Nations Woman who is the daughter of Priscilla and Lawrence Joseph, into the Prince Albert Council of Women’s Hall of Fame.  We invite you to attend this program which will also feature a Key Note speaker.
