Many Canadians expected to buy RRSP’s as deadline approaches

The deadline for Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) contributions is on Mar. 1 and according to a new survey, nearly half of the Canadian population will buy RRSP's this year.
However, only a few will make the maximum contribution they are entitled to. The survey commissioned by BMO highlights this trend is expected to continue.
It projects unused RRSP contribution room will exceed $1 trillion by 2018.
