Concerns for Egypt in Saskatchewan
The situation in Egypt is creating some anxiety for some people in Saskatchewan.
The Suez Canal in that country is a waterway that lets ships pass between Europe and Asia without having to go all the way around Africa.
Lionel Labelle, President and CEO of Saskatchewan Trade and Export Partnership, said there are many exports on the water right now heading to the other side of the world.
While Egypt isn't one of Saskatchewan's prominent trade partners, Labelle said that area does import a lot of pulse crops. And there's a possibility that if the uprising continues, grain prices will go up.
