Traffic delayed after fatal accident

The southbound lane of Highway 11 has reopned after an afternoon clousre as Prince Albert RCMP pieced together a fatal accident that happened between the junction with Highway 2 and where the highway twins.

It happened at about 12:30 p.m. when a bus, carrying a minor hockey team, “t-boned” a grey van.

The driver of the van was killed and one passenger was taking to hospital.

The coach of the hockey team did not want to give an official comment, but said his team was not injured. They continued on their way to Swift Current.

RCMP have no further details on what happened – they are still trying to figure it out.
