Chakam School Awarded Major Grant

CHAKAM SCHOOL OF THE BIBLE IN PRINCE ALBERTIS AWARDED A MAJOR GRANT FROM BAKKE GRADUATEUNIVERSITY IN SEATTLE, WASHINGTON

This month CHAKAM School of the Bible was awarded a major grant from Bakke Graduate University in Seattle, Washington through its Theology of Work Grant Program.   The is a second consecutive year that CHAKAM has been awarded monies for its continuing work in the Theology of Work area.  This year's grant is for
US $ 14,750.00.
 
Theology of Work is “The Study of 'work' from God's perspective” (Woolley, Theology of Work and Its Practical Implications) with “An Intentional Focus on Equipping Men and Women in All Spheres of Work and Society to Understand and Experience Their Work Life as a Holy Calling from God” (Hillman, God in the Workplace).
 
CHAKAM's 2011 work in the TOW program will consist of the following activities :
 
1. the development and effective marketing of a distance education module called “Theology of Work 101 Basics”
 
2. continuation of the development and the delivery of Level II – Theology of Work – for current students in Canada and Peru
 
3. the delivery of Level I – Theology of work to new students in Canada, Peru and The Sudan
 
Courses in Canada will be delivered throughout the year in various locations.  
 
Courses in Peru will be delivered on site in the months of May and November of 2011.  
 
Courses in The Sudan will be delivered on site in the months of August and September of 2011.
