Sliding on icy roads

A tow truck operator checks the damage on one of two vehicles involved in a collision this afternoon.

An accident on the corner of 28th Street and Second Avenue West  was caused by a combination of a yellow light, an advanced green left turn and icy conditions, said police.

Three people were involved in the collision, but no injuries were reported.
