Travel Wisely this winter by …
• Dressed for the weather.
• Pack along appropriate extra winter gear like blankets, shovel and more!
• Check road reports and weather forecasts.
• Be prepared for emergencies-first aid kit, cell phone, snacks, extra fuel for your snow machine.
• Plan your travels-let others know where you going and when you’ll be back.
If you get cold you might …
• Be at risk for frost bite. Red patches on the skin or frozen white hard areas of skin such on face, fingers or toes.
• See frost bite, get warm and stay warm.
Do not break blisters if they develop.
• Be a risk for hypothermia.
Confused, acting strange, mumbling when talking. Act quickly and get the paramedics to your aid.
