Early morning crash claims one life

RCMP believe alcohol was a factor in a fatal crash Wednesday morning in North-Central Saskatchewan.

Shortly after 3 p.m. a truck rolled near the community of Mayfair, located about 70 kilometres north east of North Battleford.

The two people inside the truck were thrown from the vehicle.  Neither person was wearing a seatbelt said RCMP.

A man, 25, from Richard, Sask. was taken to hospital in North Battleford, where he remains with non-life threatening injuries.

A  woman, 23, from Harris, Sask. was also taken to hospital in North Battleford, but was declared dead due to injuries sustained in the collision.   

The crash remains under investigation by the RCMP.
