First ever First Nations leader of RCMP division

Saskatchewan has a new top Mountie, and he's the first First Nations person to lead an RCMP division in the force's history.

Chief Superintendent Russ Mirasty has taken over as the commanding officer of “F'' Division.

Mirasty said the lessons he learned growing up in northern Saskatchewan are still a big part of who he is.
