The Victoria Hospital Foundations says it has given the “go ahead” to the Prince Albert Parkland Health Region to order medical equipment needed to replace and upgrade aging and failing equipment in the Victoria Regional Hospital’s Operating Room Unit.
Rob Dalziel, executive director with the Victoria Hospital Foundations said, “Donations continue to come in since the Friday, December 3rd 12 hour GIVE a little life DAY radio-a-thon. We are amazed and grateful with the tremendous outpouring of generosity we have received.” Dalziel went on to indicate, “A combination of circumstances have come together work in our favour: a slower than expected economic recovery in the United States means many hospitals in the US have slowed or reduced their purchases of medical equipment and a Canadian Dollar at or near par with the US dollar has given us added purchasing power.”
