The weather continues to be the talk as the Saskatchewan Roughriders get ready to face the Calgary Stampeders in the West final this Sunday.

Friday's practice wasn't like Thursday's, which included near-blizzard-like conditions.

Instead, the players had to endure a wind chill that was in the -30 C range.

So, how is the offense going to be able to handle such temperatures?

Quarterback Darian Durant says it's just a matter of who takes care of the little things.

“It comes own to which team is going to protect the ball? Which team is going to make the big plays when needed? And which team is going to be great on special teams?,” said Durant. “I think it's going to be the small, intangible things that are going to make the difference in this game.”

Offensive coordinator Doug Berry says they're prepared for the different possible conditions.

“If there's snow, we'll be thinking of probably a certain phase of the game being called on then others,” said Berry. “If it's just going to be cold, then our footing will be fine and we'll be able to do most of things that we want to be able to do.”

And it looks like both the Riders and Stamps will have to deal with the conditions.

The forecast Sunday calls for a high of -16 C with a good chance of snow — nothing like Canadian football in November.
