It is now known what RCMP officers were doing at the Leather Stop in the Gateway Mall yesterday.
“We had suspicion that the merchant there was selling counterfeit items,” said Cpl. Jon Tamlin of the RCMP's Regina Border Integrity Section.
Tamlin said members of the Regina and Saskatoon Border Integrity Sections seized several items believed to be counterfeit, such as purses and glasses cases.
One person was arrested at the store and later released.
