Paxton to stand trial

The man charged in a gruesome case of alleged torture could face new charges.

Dustin Paxton,30, is accused of the aggravated assault and forcible confinement of a man who was starved, burned and had parts of his tongue and lips cut off before being dumped at a Regina hospital on Apr. 16.

He's also charged with similar offenses regarding a female victim.

According to Paxton's lawyer, Paxton may face another “group of charges'' involving another victim.

Paxton has been found fit to stand trial. His lawyer has asked for a trial by judge and jury.
