Adding up crop damage from storms

It's safe to say we won't be seeing any more thunderstorms after receiving the first brush with winter.

The Canadian Crop Hail Association has tallied up this summer's hail claims and are reporting more than 16,000 claims were filed, amounting to $155 million.

Saskatchewan accounted for nearly three-quarters of those claims, valued at $103 million.

That's much higher than last year, but half of what we saw in the record year of 2008
